The story behind Expressions of Talent:
Expressions of Talent was founded by Trina Quijano in 2003 when she decided to make her dream a reality. Throughout her childhood life Trina was heavily involved in all types of dance, gymnastics and cheerleading. Her mother was her true inspiration behind this. With Trina’s love, passion and inspiration she began this business to help children of all ages learn, experience and appreciate dance and gymnastics as she did. Her business began with 1 location and 4 kids and as now grown to 6 locations. With her family and friends support Trina has truly made her dream come true
~TRINA QUIJANO ~
Head coach Trina Quijano teaches children of all age’s acrobatics, cheerleading, dance, gymnastics and break dancing. For 11 years Trina was a recreational and competitive gymnast and also competed for Miami-Dade Community College in both gymnastics and cheerleading. Trina is KAT certified, Safety certified, and is a USAG and AAU member. Trina has been a professional instructor for both dance and gymnastics for over 14 years coaching at various locations. Trina’s love of performing shines through as she encourages her students to travel and perform or compete at a variety of well-known locations including Disney World, Sea World, and Sea Escape Day Cruises. Each year Trina organizes numerous fundraisers in order to take staff and students to Woodward gymnastics camp where they learn many new techniques. Trina continues to inspire everyone around her with her devotion to this program. She puts hard work and dedication into all that she does for her students.
THE STAFF
*Rachel Ebener*

Rachel is a student at FIU working towards a degree in Business Administration. She started gymnastics when she was 3 years old and continued through high school and college with cheerleading and tumbling. Through her creative style and high level of energy she makes gymnastics enjoyable for the children.
*Lisa Tanner*
Lisa also teaches our various gymnastics classes with a positive attitude and with great enthusiasm. She recently graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor's in Health Science. Lisa also did cheer and tumbling for 12 years and has been coaching gymnastics for the past four years.
*Jennifer Martinez*
Jennifer is a Senior at FIU, majoring in Occupational Therapy. She helps out with teaching our dance & gymnastics classes. Jennifer started gymnastics when she was 8 years old and went on to compete as a Level 6 gymnast. She has been coaching for 6 years.
*Caitlin Ebener*
Caitlin is a Sophomore at Miami- Dade College and was a cheerleader and tumbler for 5 years. With her lively attitude she creates a fun and safe environment for the children.
*Meredith Parry*
Meredith is a student at Barry University majoring in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine. She started gymnastics when she was 4 and stopped competing as a Level 8 gymnast. Meredith has been coaching Levels 2-8 for 7 years.
*Hindi Gomez*
Hindi is another addition to our Miami Shores staff. He has competed nationally in men’s gymnastics and is a Junior Olympics competitor. Hindi is also a National champion with his competitive cheer & dance team. He currently attends FIU and is working on his Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy.
*Matthew Quijano*
Matthew is enrolled at Broward Community College. He is our Break dance instructor. Matthew has been break dancing and doing hip hop for 6 years, and continues to improve his skills.
*Dujon Chang*
Dujon graduated with a Bachelor’s in Psychology. He is very dance oriented, winning many salsa competitions and participating in various break dancing and hip hop events. He runs our salsa program along with teaching hip hop & break dance.
*Liani Arce*

Liani is a new addition to our staff who has been dancing for 12 years. She has been trained in various types of dance and has been teaching ballet, tap, and jazz for 3 years now. Liani is a Freshman at Broward College.
